Co-Founders, Slater Hospitality at The Roof at Ponce City Market
Kelvin and Mandy Slater are the co-founders of Slater Hospitality and the operators of The Roof at Ponce City Market, Atlanta’s iconic 85,000 square foot rooftop entertainment complex perched atop the historic Sears building.
Their story began in Florida, where they met while working in the restaurant industry. They moved to Atlanta in 2000 and opened their first restaurant together in 2003, getting married just two weeks later. Over the next twelve years, they grew Blue Moon Pizza into a five-location chain before selling their stake in 2015.
Today, The Roof at Ponce City Market is home to Nine Mile Station, Skyline Park, the 12 Cocktail Bar, and multiple private event spaces. The venue hosts between 250,000 and 300,000 guests annually.
